Thermocouples in validation - when cable measuring systems score points

Cable-guided validation systems offer clear advantages in certain applications - for example in processes with extreme temperatures or when maximum measurement accuracy is required in real time. We shed light on typical application scenarios for thermocouples, differentiate between wired and wireless systems and highlight the challenges that need to be considered when handling and placing sensors. Regulatory requirements (e.g. GAMP5, FDA 21 CFR Part 11) and best practices for implementation and documentation are also discussed. The aim is to provide users with a sound basis for deciding on the right measurement strategy.
