About Ilmac First held in Basel in 1959, Ilmac has grown from a Swiss laboratory trade fair into one of the most influential platforms for the chemical and life sciences industry. Today, it connects over 400 exhibitors with more than 12,000 trade visitors, driving innovation and collaboration across the entire value chain.Under the promise, “Inspiring the Future of Chemistry and Life Sciences,” Ilmac showcases the latest breakthroughs in research and industry across its two anchor locations: Basel and Lausanne. Beyond the exhibition floor, the event features an extensive program of expert talks, workshops, and networking opportunities.The next edition will take place in Hall 1.0 at Messe Basel from 16 to 18 September 2025. Highlights include the Ilmac Conference, Startup Area, Future of Life Sciences Area, Speakers Corner, and the special exhibitions Pharma Logistics Days and Job Connect. A new addition for 2025 is the Women in Life Sciences initiative, offering women in the field a dedicated platform and exclusive event series.To mark Ilmac’s 66th anniversary, a major evening celebration will be held in the "Bamboo Nest", creating space for informal exchange and celebration within the Ilmac community.
