In batch production of specialty and fine chemicals, API, pharmaceutical and biotech products, precise interface detection determines yield, quality and cleaning effort. With the new combination of the TSS80 tube probe and the AMEI digital field device, Aquasant presents a pioneering measuring solution for fully automatic phase separation. Guaranteeing high product yields during downstream phase separation and extractions! In line with this expectation, the proven UNIQ T804 (TSS80) pipe probe from Aquasant has been supplemented with the new AMEI field device. The system detects separation layers precisely and reliably - even in the case of emulsion formation, trombules or phase inversions below the bottom valve. The impedance probe measures the electrical properties of liquids in 3D directly in the pipe - robust against impurities, temperature or density differences. The high-resolution electronic measuring system delivers stable results even with changing media. The new AMEI field device impresses with a rotatable color display (electronics 180°, head 360°) and intuitive menu navigation. Due to “Plug & Process” technology, the probe is immediately ready for operation - without time-consuming parameterization. Fault diagnostics in accordance with NAMUR NE 107 and a spreadable 4-20 mA output signal offer additional transparency and safety. The ATEX-compliant system (Exd/Ex ia) meets all the requirements of modern batch processes: Use up to 170°C, 16 bar, DN32-DN100 / ANSI 2"-3". With over 40 years of industrial experience and digital interfaces in preparation, the solution is forward looking.
