cCare | Fully Automated pH Sensor Maintenance System
Process Technology
Information
In long-term bioprocesses, there is a possibility that the sensors used (pH, O₂, etc.) begin to drift.
For this reason, redundant measurements are often implemented. However, these can diverge in opposite directions – which value is then the correct one?
Sampling with subsequent measurement is possible, but it is time- and cost-intensive. In addition, it is questionable whether these measurements accurately reflect the real process conditions.
We at Knick would like to present a solution: the cCare System.
A retractable assembly that can be extended automatically. Within the assembly, the sensor can be cleaned and removed. Alternatively, calibration without removal is also possible.
Before the sensor is returned to the process, a CIP or SIP step is carried out.
This allows you to maintain control over your sensors and take action when necessary.
All processes are documented in an audit trail in accordance with CFR 21 Part 11.
Visit us at our booth B200 – we have the system on site.
And join our presentation on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 10:40 to 11:10 at the Speakers Corner, where we will go into more detail and answer questions about system integration.
